Saran Deb Nath
Research Assistant at ARK Foundation, Dhaka. Health economics graduate and experienced in research data management, survey design, and statistical analysis (R, STATA, Python).

About
I am a health economics graduate of the University of Dhaka, and most of my work is in public health research: data management and analysis, building survey instruments, and developing tools for data pipelines and quality checks.
I am a Research Assistant at ARK Foundation, where I work on an IDRC-funded project on sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) run by a research consortium spanning five South Asian countries. I am also on the core team planning a nationally representative household survey: I work with the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics on its sampling design, developed the survey's KoboToolbox instruments, and will oversee the daily data quality checks once fieldwork begins.
Before that, in November 2025, I managed the data pipeline for a WHO-supported immunisation coverage survey of about 26,000 respondents in the Rohingya camps of Cox's Bazar, merging the datasets and validating their quality. Earlier, as a research and data intern at ARCED Foundation, I worked on Skills for Growth, a study with the University of Minnesota, UC San Diego and the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. There I managed field enumerators and standardised the data from 2,500 manager and employee surveys.
I work mainly in R and Stata, and in Python. Outside work I build data projects, like a daily-updating dataset of Coke Studio Bangla's YouTube numbers with a live dashboard.
